Don t Worry Gears 5 Is Getting A Traditional Sad Trailer Soon
Gears 5 is getting a new 'sad' trailer at some point in the future, but fans will have to wait a bit. Via Geek Generation is getting a new 'sad' trailer at some point in the future, but fans will have to wait a bit. The series is renowned for many things, including being one of Microsoft's flagship franchises, popularizing third-person shooting, and ushering in a bevy of "Horde mode" copycat. Above all, the series has become well known for its use of sad trailers. With Gears 5, some have wondered if and when the depressing trailer often associated with the Gears of War series would drop. While the question of "when" is still up in the air, Gears of War developer Rod Fergusson said that the trailer would, indeed, drop soon in response to a question posed by a Twitter user. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Twitter user commented on a tweet made by Fergusson, asking if Gears fans would be getting a "traditional sad trailer." Fergusson responded by simply stating that it would happen shortly. This is undoubtedly great news for Gears fans who enjoy the emotional launch trailers. The "Mad World" trailer for the franchise's first installment was extremely popular. In it, series protagonist Marcus Fenix runs through the streets of a destroyed city evading enemies, eventually coming face-to-face with a large enemy known as a Corpser. The trailer plays to Gary Jules' "Mad World" which fits the game's hopeless mood. Other depressing Gears trailers include the Gears of War 2 "Last Day" trailer, the Gears of War 3 "Ashes to Ashes" and "Dust to Dust" trailers, the "Mad World" trailer for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, and the "Tomorrow" trailer for Gears of War 4. Gears of War's trailers have lived up to standards, and Gears 5 may well be of the same nature. The game's story trailers thus far have focused on the emotional story. However, surpassing the "Mad World" trailer in its sheer notoriety is nearly an impossible task. To do so would be a notable feat for Gears fans.
