We got used to having the same kind of feel toward our protagonists in the Assassin’s Creed series, so it was a real breath of fresh air when we got the reins of Evie for Syndicate. Guiding her around as the player character had a distinct feel we hadn’t gotten since the first Assassin’s Creed. She has the poise of an assassin, rather than a killer who’s based on strength and confrontations. After all, assassins are supposed to work from the shadows, and Evie is the one who brings this aspect into the game. It had been some time since we had this kind of originality.

When the characters are upgraded to their full potential, it is Evie who has the special ability of rendering herself completely invisible. By this point, having Evie as your go-to character is a natural inclination because she’s the total package. She can match Jacob in other areas, and is far ahead in the matter of stealth.
