Persona 5 Gift Guide Every Confidant And The Gift They Want

In Persona 5, it's important to build up relationships with your confidants. Here is the ultimate guide to which gifts to give to each one.

Quick Links

Anyone new to the Persona series will find a rich game with deep stories, complex characters, and a lot of bizarre and interesting elements common in anime video game universes. Like the others in the series, is a role-playing game with dungeon crawling and elements of a dating simulation. This unique combination requires you to explore the Metaverse and fight demonic creatures and evil humans. To facilitate this, players must establish strong bonds with Confidants in the game who provide a romantic interest (or not!) and unlockable skills necessary to progress in the game. You can improve your social interactions with these confidants by equipping Personas with matching arcanas, but gifts are another great way to make them like you. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Updated December 30, 2021 by Ryan Bamsey: With the release of Persona 5 Royal, you can now give gifts to both the prospective romantic confidants and many of your platonic ones, too! We've added them to this list, which is split between romantic and platonic confidants for your convenience.

Romantic Confidants

Ann Takamaki Lovers

There are a number of gifts Ann will accept and the majority of them provide the 3+ bonus which makes her easier to woo than many other Confidants on this list and most of them can be found in the Shibuya Station Underground Mall . The cheapest 3+ gift she'll accept is a Custard Cake that goes for ¥ 1,500. The Custard Cake along with Chocolate Truffles, Face Beautifier, Rose Bouquet, and Uji Matcha Flan trigger unique dialogue when given. The gifts Crimson Lipstick, Heart-Shaped Ring, and Rose Bouquet will require a romantic relationship before they can be given as gifts. The Star Mirror is the only 3+ gift that doesn't give additional dialogue or require a romantic relationship. The only non 3+ gifts she accepts are Best of KGB49 and Designer Perfume which both grant 2+.

Makoto Niijima Priestess

via: YouTube Like Ann, Makoto accepts many gifts and only one of them isn't a 3+, almost all of them are in the Shibuya Station Underground Mall The cheapest gift you can buy is the Mini Cactus and costs ¥ 1,600. The Designer Perfume and Motorbike Figure are the only gifts that provide unique dialogue and the Heart Necklace, Heart-shaped Ring, and Rose Bouquet are the only gifts that require a romantic relationship. This means there are a lot of gifts that provide the 3+ without any additional dialogue or requirements, such as the Book Cover, Flower Basket, Fountain Pen, and Mini Cactus. The only gift she'll accept that gives a 2+ bonus is the Classical Hits.

Futaba Sakura Hermit

All of her gifts can be found in the Underground Mall or in Akihabara making it fairly easy to track down what she wants. The cheapest 3+ gift she'll accept is the Local Mascot Set for ¥3,600 making her a little more expensive than Ann or Makoto. The Heart Necklace, Heart-shaped Ring, Local Mascot Set, and Snack Pack creature unique dialogue and the Heart Necklace and Heart-shaped Ring are the only gifts that require a romantic relationship. Other 3+ gifts she'll accept are Best of KGB49 and the Motorbike Figure. The only 2+ gift she'll take is the Robot Vacuum.

Haru Okumura Empress

Most of her gifts can be found in the Underground Mall making it easy to shop for Haru. The cheapest 3+ is a Flower Basket for ¥2,400. Unique Dialogue is triggered with the Flower Basket and Glass vase, while the Heart Necklace and Heart-shaped Ring require a romantic relationship. Other 3+ gifts she'll take are the Book Cover and Chocolate Truffles. There are a lot of 2+ gifts she'll accept like the Mini Cactus, Local Mascot Set, Rose Bouquet, and Snack Pack. While she's a little pickier in what gives her a 3+ bonus she's not nearly as bad as the next one on this list.

Tae Takemi Death

via: YouTube Most items are with only one item, the Black Mug, being purchased at the General Store in Shinjuku. The cheapest 3+ is the Mini Cactus for ¥1,600. The only item that triggers unique dialogue is the Black Mug and there are no items that require a romantic relationship to be given, which is a little easier. Unfortunately, there are only a handful of items she'll accept as gifts. The only 3+ gifts are the Black Mug and Mini Cactus. The other gifts like Custard Cake, Chocolates Truffles, and Classical Hits are all 2+. While she may be pickier in the gifts she wants, they are also the most affordable so there is a definite trade-off when it comes to wooing the Confidant of death.

Sadayo Kawakami Temperance

Lots of her gifts will come from the Underground Mall and there are lots of gifts she'll accept, the most of anyone on this list. The cheapest 3+ gift she'll take is the Chocolate Truffles for ¥2,800. The Heart Necklace, Heart-shaped Ring, and Robot Vacuum both provide unique dialogue and require a romantic relationship which keeps things easy to track, the only one that's different is the Crimson Lipstick which does not provide additional dialogue but does require a romantic relationship. For other 3+ items give her the Best of KGB49, Idol Pins, and a Star Mirror. Her 2+ gifts are the Custard Cake, Designer Perfume, Incense Set, and Rakugo Collection.

Chihaya Mifune Fortune

To get her recommended gifts you need to shop in Shibuya and Shinjuku in various places. The cheapest 3+ is the Flower Basket for ¥2,400. The only 3+ gift of note is the Star Mirror which provides unique dialogue, like Tae she does not require a romantic relationship for any gift. The other 3+ she'll accept are the Flower Basket and the Local Mascot Set. She has a few 2+ gifts she'll take like the Book Cover, Custard Cake, Classical Hits, and Glass Vase. All of her gifts are fairly cheap making the Fortune Confidant .

Ichiko Ohya Devil

You can get Ichiko's gifts in Shibuya and Shinjuku for the most part. She has a few 3+ gifts, the cheapest being the Black Mug for ¥1,800. The Fountain Pen and the Digital Camera trigger additional dialogue and the Digital Camera it the only item she requires a romantic relationship in order to receive. The only other 3+ she'll accept is the Classical Hits gift. She has a few 2+ gifts like the Mini Cactus, Rakugo Collection, Sakura Fan, and the Uji Matcha Flan. The Digital Camera comes with a ¥ 39,800 price tag so if you want that unique dialogue be prepared to pay a lot for it.

Hifumi Togo Star

Hifumi, the last on our list, is another Confidant with simple requirements and minimal unique dialogue. The cheapest 3+ gift is the Black Mug for ¥1,800. The only 3+ gift that you need to worry about is the Sakura Fan which triggers unique dialogue, she has no romantic requirements for any of her gifts. The other 3+ items are the Fountain Pen, Incense Set, and Rakugo Collection. Her 2+ items are the Book Cover, Glass Vase, and Uji Matcha Flan. Her items average in the ¥3,000~ area so affording all of her gifts won't be too bad making the Star Confidant one of the better to woo gift-wise.

Kasumi Yoshizawa Faith

Kasumi is only available to you if you have the Royal version of the game and she is the final confidant who may be romanced. The Mini Cactus will provide a +3 confidant boost and costs only ¥1,600 at the Flower Shop. She will also have unique dialogue and a +3 confidant boost when presented with Crimson Lipstick, Face Beautifier, or a Rose Boquet, but these items are far pricier than the humble Mini Cactus.

Platonic Confidants

Ryuji Sakamoto Chariot

It's not difficult to find . He'll be very pleased with a simple Dragon Sword Keychain, purchased from the Otaku Goods Shop in Akihabara for only ¥500. Before that area is unlocked, you may be better off getting him an Instant Cup Ramen Noodle Set for only ¥3,840. These gifts, along with Wrist & Ankle Weights, Sporty Sunglasses, and a Robot Vacuum Cleaner, will give you a +3 confidant boost with Ryuji.

Yusuke Kitagawa

As befitting his artistic sensibilities, Yusuke likes artsy gifts. These include the Watercolor Postcard from the Kichijoji Stationery Shop for ¥800 and the pricier Silver Bangle and various Vases that may be purchased. Otherwise, you'll be quite successful with food items - Yusuke likes Chocolate Truffles, Custard Cakes, and to a lesser extent, the same Instant Cup Ramen Noodle Set that Ryuji adores.

Sojiro Sakura

Sojiro Sakura The best gifts for everyone's favorite coffee father include the Kitchen Tool Set (¥4,900) and the Rustic Fountain Pen (¥8,000), both of which are found at the General Store in Shinjuku. If you want to treat him, however, you can spring for a Robot Vacuum Cleaner or a snazzy Cowhide Pencil Case, found at the Akihabara Electronics Superstore and the Kichijoji Stationery Shop respectively, though at a higher price.

Munehisa Iwai

Munehisa Iwai Iwai is a hard man to buy for, evidently - he likes techy things such as the Robot Vacuum Cleaner and the Electric Toothbrush, both of which can be purchased at the Electronics Superstore in Akihabara. These both give him a +3 confidant boost, but they're very pricey. Apart from this, Iwai will like (to a lesser extent) similar gifts such as a Digital Camera or a Super Noisy Alarm Clock. An easy, cheap gift is the Dragon Sword Keyring, which can be nabbed for only ¥500 at Akihabara.

Shinya Oda

Shinya Oda As befitting a little kid, the best gifts you can pick up for Shinya Oda include the Motorcule Figure from the Electronics Shop at Akihabara (¥3,600) or sweet things like the Chocolate Truffles you can get at the Underground Mall (¥2,800). With these being very cheap gifts, there's no reason to spring for the expensive ones such as the Silver Bangle or the Super Noisy Alarm Clock, which he won't even appreciate as much.

Goro Akechi

To get a +3 confidant boost with Akechi, you can get him some All-Purpose Vitamins for just ¥4,500. These are probably your best bet for gifts, as he has some expensive tastes. You can get these at Rocinante. The pricier gifts that you can get Akechi include the High Performance Electric Toothbrush and the Robot Vacuum Cleaner, both purchased at the Electronics Superstore in Akihabara.

Takuto Maruki

Maruki is really easy to buy for. For starters, he will get a +3 confidant boost if you get him a Mini Cactus from the Flower Shop or some All-Purpose Vitamins from Rocinante - and these are very cheap gifts. He will also really enjoy a Fountain Pen from the Shinjuku General Store and a Super Noisy Alarm Clock from the Electronics Superstore in Akihabara, though these are significantly more pricey.
