PRESENTED BY COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Behind six bonus-points victories, No. 3 Missouri cruised to a 33-6 win against Northern Iowa on Saturday evening at the Hearnes Center. The dual victory improved the Tigers to 18-0 this season, tying the all-time Mizzou wrestling single-season wins mark. Freshman Willie Miklus highlighted the team's six bonus-points wins, as he pinned Cody Caldwell in just 24 seconds. Senior Drake Houdashelt produced the other highlight win against the Panthers, defeating Tyler Patten by 17-2 technical fall. Redshirt senior Alan Waters set the tone immediately for the host Tigers, as he tallied an impressive 10-1 major decision against No. 6 Dylan Peters. Redshirt sophomores Zach Synon and Lavion Mayes followed Waters' win with a 6-0 decision and 12-4 major decision, respectively. After the team dropped their first match of the evening at 165 pounds, redshirt senior Johnny Eblen got Mizzou back on track with a 9-1 major decision versus Curt Maas. Miklus and Cox rounded out the evening's scoring at the 184 and 197 pound matchups.
