According to 'Funk Master', Dillashaw has been cheating throughout his UFC career by taking performance-enhancing drugs. The 33-year-old made the claims in a recent interview with Sky Sports. Sterling noted past remarks from Dillashaw's own teammates to support his allegation: "I'm fighting the guy I have watched for so many years... I respect everything the guy has done, but I know he's been cheating his entire UFC career. It's been disclosed by his own teammates. It's not me blowing smoke. His own teammates outed him." The former bantamweight champion returned to action in July 2021 and took on Cory Sandhagen in a five-round fight. Dillashaw is now set for the chance to regain the bantamweight title as he is scheduled to take on Sterling in the co-main event of UFC 280.
