He said that he believes White was distracted by something or impaired at the time of the crash, which prevented him from trying to avoid a crash. This isn't the first time that the Eagles linebacker has shown careless behavior while driving. In 2020, also on a California freeway, he was charged with a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving. He allegedly hit speeds of over 100 miles per hour at the time and made an illegal turn. The details and damages in the current lawsuit filed by Christopher Merced against the Eagles linebacker were not made public. There have been no comments from the Eagles or the league about any repercussions for the linebacker stemming from the lawsuit that was filed.
