It was great to train with him - Fabricio Andrade says training with Tang Kai was mutually beneficial

Training at Tiger Muay Thai, Andrade is exposed to some of the best fighters in the world, including newly crowned ONE featherweight world champion . In an interview with ONE, Andrade discussed working with Tang as he prepared himself for the ONE 160 showdown with Thanh Le that would ultimately result in him walking out as China’s first male world champion: “Tang Kai did his last two camps here at Tiger Muay Thai. I helped him in the last camp when he went to fight for the belt against Thanh Le. As my style is similar, we did some sparring training. It was great to train with him. Tang Kai is a very smart guy and a very nice person. Training with him was very beneficial for me.” Asked how it felt to see someone from his camp capture a ONE world championship, Fabricio Andrade said that it was a very motivating moment: “The feeling is very good. Seeing all the work we were doing, in addition to all his focus and determination to be champion, made me very motivated too.”

Calling out the fighter almost immediately after entering ONE Championship, ‘Wonder Boy’ has been more than vocal about his desire to face his fellow Brazilian knockout artist: "I’m more than ready. We all know that I am the guy who has been calling for this fight for a long time, even before he was a champion. I want this fight, it’s a fight I want. It doesn’t matter if it's for a title or not, I’ve always wanted to beat him, and now it’s happening. So I’m more than ready and more than excited to fight him."
