With two title fights and a stacked undercard, there is a lot of anticipation for the event. Charles Oliveira is looking to reclaim his lost throne against Khabib Nurmagomedov's protege Islam Makhachev. The bantamweight title is also on the line in the co-main event, with champion Aljamain Sterling facing off against former champion T.J. Dillashaw. The preliminary card will kick off at 10:00 AM ET / 7:00 AM PT on Saturday, October 22. The main will begin at 2:00 PM ET / 11:00 AM PT for viewers in the United States and Canada. The timings differ from the usual fight night timings since UFC 280 is taking place in Abu Dhabi. The Etihad Arena on Yas Island will play host to all the action of the night. Charles Oliveira made a bold statement ahead of his highly anticipated fight against Islam Makhachev on October 22 at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island. Following the ceremonial weigh-ins, when the fighters walked off the stage, Makhachev thanked the fans for supporting him. 'Do Bronx', on the other hand, walked past the camera and said: "I will kill this guy" The former lightweight champion looks locked in ahead of his fight.
