Fortnite likely to shut down again as the flow of all reality will cease to exist

Chrome as far as the eye can see (Image via Epic Games/Fortnite) In Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8, the developers hinted at the island's demise via in-game clues and subtle teasers. Although given the rate at which the Corruption was spreading, it was obvious to say the least. However, since tends to put a spin on storyline events, anything is possible. That said, the island did eventually succumb to the Cube Queen's forces. Despite The Blue Cube's and The Seven's best efforts, the only way to salvage the situation was by flipping the island over. Fast forward to the present and the same pattern is slowly repeating. Judging by the looks of things, Fortnite will likely "shut down" again for two days when reality ceases to exist at the end of Chapter 3 Season 4. While this is still speculation to a large extent, there are a few telltale signs of things going awry.

Fortnite s end is nigh again Here s why

As stated, while the end of reality is based on speculation, there is some truth to the matter. This article will break things down one-by-one and provide some insight into the thought:

1 Unnerving Fortnitemares cosmetics

Starting off with the latest hints, the cosmetics for have bone-chilling names and descriptions. The glider is called Everything's End, while the Chrome Cage back bling's description reads: "The end of everything takes a little backbone." If this wasn't enough of a sign that reality is once again on the fritz of existence, the harvesting tool associated with this cosmetic set is called Unmaker. The description reads: "Stop the flow of reality." While this may be Epic Games trying to add a bit more flair to the storyline, they never do things randomly — everything is done with some intention. Even if the effects cannot be seen immediately, they are always present.

2 Chrome consuming everything

Chrome is very similar to the Corruption from Chapter 2 Season 8. While it can be argued that it is not killing the island, it is consuming and turning everything to Chrome. It feels almost as if they're undertaking a cleansing of sorts, or terraforming, to make the island a more hospitable place for . With roughly 44 days left for the season to end, Chrome has begun expanding at a rapid rate. Multiple POIs are being consumed, while the Reality Tree has all but been Chrome-fied. Despite loopers taking to the skies, and The Driftwood soon to be consumed, it's evident that there's no escape from it.

3 Asteria map

The final major hint of reality ending in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 lies in the files. Dataminers were able to glean information about a new map called Asteria, which was in development. While it's not a clue in itself, will there be anything left to call an island by the time the season ends, especially at the rate that Chrome is spreading? Keeping this in mind, might be brought into the picture. Since new maps are only introduced at the start of a new Chapter, this is proof on a certain level that reality will end once again. However, there's been no further development on this matter at the moment. Poll : 0 votes Quick Links More from Sportskeeda Thank You!
