In the end, it was a decent bit of a fight from Jayaram early on in both games. Even in the second, he managed to pull back to tie scores after Ng Ka Long managed to keep a 5-point lead. And Jayaram's managed to tie scores at 14-all! He's pulling back - but not for long. But that fight did not hold up for long as Ng Ka Long unleashed cross-court winners, smashes and some well-positioned jumping shots to take a convincing straight games win. The 29-year-old is pulling out some good shots here today - will it be enough? A spiffing comeback from Jayaram sees him come within one point of Ng Ka Long! Can he pull back and even take this game? Ng Ka Long takes a quick lead in game 2 as well! A beautiful cross-court smash from Ng sees him jump into the air with some almighty force to smash that. There's little Jayaram can do to counter that! And that's it! He takes the first game 21-15 - in fourteen minutes. Almost clinically quick so far. Ng Ka Long - whose Christian name is Angus - is now two points away from taking the game. Things aren't going too well for the Indian shuttler here in Hong Kong and the home player is absolutely in command. He's maintained a healthy lead all through and for now, appears to be the higher on energy as well. The Hong Kong player has built up a healthy 5 point lead here and for now looks as though he's running away with the game. Can Jayaram fight back? Meanwhile, Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu defeated Xiaoyu Liang of China to enter the semis here. The 29-year-old Indian won 21-18, 21-19 in a straight game, 39-minute encounter.
