'Benny' has remained unbeaten since 2018, with Alexander Hernandez beating Dariush at UFC 222: Cyborg vs. Kunitskaya. During this impressive winning streak, the Iran-born fighter has beaten the likes of Tony Ferguson, Diego Ferreira and Drew Dober, among other respected names in the lightweight division. 'Benny' joined the UFC back in 2014, but has been flying under the radar for many years, even going winless in three organizational outings between 2017 and 2018. Dariush has rarely spoken out about his disappointment surrounding a lack of opportunities in the UFC, but recently broke his silence when speaking to the media at UFC 280. The 33-year-old believes that his day will come to face the new Dagestani champion and suggested that the UFC are avoiding him: "I'm not going anywhere. I will beat down whoever I need to beat down and they can circle that belt around me all they want, they can try and avoid me all they want.
