br India captain Harmanpreet Kaur led her team to victory against arch-rivals Pakistan in a thrilling encounter that went down to the last over, during the women's Asia Cup tournament being held in Bangkok. She captured two wickets and scored a quickfire 26 to steer India to a five-wicket win. br India-Pakistan clashes on the cricket field have taken a beating following recent political tension between the two countries. The Indian women's team was docked six points by the BCCI for not competing against their neighbours between August 1 and October 31. The Indian team currently leads the table, followed by Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

PCB urges Misbah-Ul-Haq to keep captaincy till 2018

br The Pakistan Cricket Board has requested resigning Pakistan captain Misbah-Ul-Haq to hold the position till 2018. Talking to The Dawn, PCB chief Shaharyar Khan has said that the Board has "suggested that he keeps his captaincy till 2018". Misbah took over the captaincy in 2010, and has been the Test captain ever since.
