Paulo Costa has seemingly redirected his focus to Jake Paul after initially suggesting another opponent

Paulo Costa was asked to weigh in on Jake Paul's comments at the UFC 278 post-fight media scrum. With only one fight remaining on his current UFC contract, Costa challenged 'The Problem Child' to send him a contract once he exhausts his UFC deal. However, speaking to Ariel Helwani a couple of days later, Costa did not seem very keen on fighting Paul. While 'Borrachinha' did not entirely dismiss the idea, he seemed convinced about Paul wanting to fight only wrestlers. But Costa had an opponent in mind in case 'The Problem Child' was looking for a real fight: Mike Perry. The Brazilian told Ariel Helwani: "Of course, I’d like to get easy money fighting him. But I have a better challenge for him: Mike Perry. Mike Perry is almost the same weight class, Mike Perry’s a savage.
