As the 2022-23 season got off the ground, the people over at provided updated rankings of the most valuable NBA teams right now. Here is a breakdown of the top five.

Given that they are one of the most historic franchises in the league, it's not shocking to see the Celtics make this list. Between being another historic franchise and being in the biggest market in the country, it's shocking not to see them in the top spot. Similar to the Celtics, the Lakers are a team that can do some climbing on this list. As long as LeBron James is in town, the chance to bring in more revenue is always possible.

What carries the Knicks is their market and venue. Similar to LA, New York is one of the biggest markets in the country. On top of that, the Knicks arena is one of the most famous venues ever in Madison Square Garden. Between the history of the franchise and their arena, it's unlikely they will ever fall out of the the top three of these lists.
