Deiveson Figueiredo (left) & Brandon Moreno (right) vs. 4 has been made official by the UFC. The first-ever tetralogy fight in UFC history will take place at UFC 283 on Jan. 21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Earlier this month, reported that the two camps have signed contracts to finalize the meeting. However, it wasn't until Thursday that the UFC officially announced the matchup on Twitter. Their initial encounter ended in a draw at UFC 256 in December 2020. Their second and most decisive battle took place in the co-main event of UFC 263 in June 2021. Moreno snagged the title by submitting Figueiredo in the third round of their championship bout. However, the Brazilian avenged his loss by earning a unanimous decision during their trilogy bout at UFC 270. At one point, it seemed like Figueiredo was set to move on with his rivalry with Moreno. However, an injury put the undisputed flyweight champ out of commission, opening the door for the Mexican once again. 'The Assassin Baby' went on to face for the interim flyweight championship at UFC 277. An impressive TKO victory over Kara-France set the table for a historic fourth meeting between Figueiredo and Moreno.

Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo engaged in a classic in-cage face-off following the Mexican's spectacular win at UFC 277. Surprisingly, though, both men kept it classy with their exchange of words. Moreno professed his respect and admiration for Figueiredo, adding that he's thrilled to be fighting 'Deus Da Guerra' for the fourth time: "I don't hate you, I don't feel nothing against you, I forgive you, and please forgive me if I did something bad against you. Hey, don't be confused, I want to fight. I want to fight against you in December."
