The Charlotte Hornets are in rough shape, given so many key injuries and absences. Lamelo Ball and (leading scorer) Terry Rozier are out with injuries, not to mention Miles Bridges is out for legal reasons. The Hornets are left with Hayward and Oubre Jr. to bring the spark. The two combined for 30 points against the Magic and were the only source of production, and they're going to need more than Hayward and Oubre Jr. to trade blows with the Warriors. On the bright side for the Hornets, the Warriors have given up 110+ points in four of their five games so far. The Hornets will desperately need a big night from their new leading scorer, Gordon Hayward (averaging 19.4). Steph and the Warriors are the real talking points in this matchup. Curry led the charge for the Warriors and handled Miami with authority. Curry was 7-14 from deep and finished with 33 points. That was just enough to keep his season average above 30 per game. The defending champions are much deeper than the weak Hornets team they'll face tonight, and that's going to be a problem from the start. The Hornets are on night 2 of a back-to-back, and their short rotation will be extra tiring. If the Warriors can limit the open looks from deep for Charlotte, they should be able to limit their scoring all around.
