Describing how fared against during the fight, 'The Count' said: "Robert Whittaker was jumping in and out, obviously the shorter guy with a shorter range. He was using the footwork but Israel [was] capitalizing on that, he [Adesanya] was catching him [Whittaker] coming in and out and picking him apart jabbing to the head... At the end of the first round, caught him with a massive right hand, sat Robert Whittaker down." Bisping added: "Robert kind of lunged in, Israel dodged back right hand, left hand, sat Robert down and that was it. That was all she wrote." Israel Adesanya names opponents he expects to face in the middleweight division

During the latest episode of BS W/, UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya listed the opponents he hopes to face during his reign as the promotion's middleweight champion. Adesanya named Sean Strickland and Khamzat Chimaev (both of whom called him out) as his potential future opponents. The No. 2-ranked pound-for-pound fighter also showed interest in fighting unranked middleweight contender Gregory Rodrigues. 'The Last Stylebender' believes Rodrigues has the potential to enter title contention: "The Hillbilly, [Sean] Strickland. I just wanna whoop his a**. I really just wanna whoop his a**. A good fighter I wanna fight is 'Robocop' [Gregory Rodrigues]... He's solid, he's a good fighter. No beef, no nothing, I just think he's gonna come up to the top and I'd like to test myself against a guy like that." Adesanya added: "Even Khamzat, if he does well. Leon [Edwards'] the [welterweight] champ now, but you gotta fight the top of the top at welterweight first. He [Chimaev] does well, he gets the belt, why not? I love to test myself against people like that... The story's still being written. Everybody can get it, man, woman or child. If you can crawl, we can brawl."
