This is going to be a huge test - Mark Sangiao says Christian Lee has a tough task against Kiamrian Abbasov

Christian Lee (left), Mark Sangiao (middle), and Kiamrian Abbasov (right) has given a brief breakdown of the upcoming welterweight title fight between Christian Lee and Kiamrian Abbasov. The Team Lakay founder has a ridiculous amount of experience between fighting and coaching. Whenever a big-time matchup materializes, Mark Sangiao’s opinion on the fight is intriguing. When asked about Lee vs. Abbasov, he had this to say: “This is going to be a huge test for Christian Lee since he’s going up a weight class. We already know his capabilities and we’ve seen his body mature physically as he got older. However, welterweight is unfamiliar territory for him and he’ll be fighting the world champion in his nest right away.” Lee is looking to become the fourth two-division world champion for ONE, joining Martin Nguyen, Aung La N Sang, and Reinier de Ridder. ‘The Warrior' has the lightweight title and he’s taking on the welterweight champion at ONE on Prime Video 4. Meanwhile, Abbasov lost his chance to become a two-division champion last time out. ‘Brazen’ now returns to the division he has dominated since 2018. The welterweight champion has a tough challenge approaching against Lee.

Mark Sangiao weighs in on Stephen Loman vs Bibiano Fernandes

Mark Sangiao has trained a handful of elite ONE Championship fighters, including lightweight Stephen Loman. ‘The Sniper’ is 2-0 in the bantamweight division and has a massive opportunity against former champion Bibiano Fernandes set for ONE on Prime Video 4. Sangiao had this to say about the matchup: “We don’t really know what his motivation is, especially after losing his world title to John Lineker. It’s either he’s coming in frustrated or motivated, and we’ll only see that come fight night. Either way, we’re prepared to beat him in any way possible. Fernandes is looking to bounce back from losing the bantamweight title against John Lineker. At 42 years old, the Brazilian suffered some damage against Lineker in March but has a chance to get right back in the title discussion with a win against Loman. Loman will likely be the betting favorite, but Fernandes can't be overlooked. The former champion has extra motivation after losing the title, and the Team Lakay product still has much to prove.
