Minor Turbulence is a storyline mission in GTA 5 performed by protagonist . In this mission, Trevor Philips takes over a Merryweather Cargo plane full of and is attacked by the air force who take down the plane's engines with their missiles.
At the beginning of the , is seen visiting ’s mansion and finding out there’s no one living there. He calls Michael to enquire about his whereabouts and Michael tells him that he and Trevor have been hiding in from Madrazo’s men after Trevor kidnapped Martin Madrazo’s wife.
Just then Trevor wakes up and calls out to to bring him his coffee. Ron comes and gives him information that a Merryweather Cargo plane is transporting weapons and that he might want to “requisition” it. Trevor and Ron leave for the McKenzie Airfield without Michael.
Trevor gets into the Cropduster parked at the hangar and flies off after the cargo plane. He has to lay low at first until he is out of the Zancudo Base area to avoid getting detected. He then has to fly the plane into the cargo hold of the cargo plane, mid-air. After taking out the Merryweather men in the plane’s cargo hold, he has to go to the cockpit and take out the pilot, taking control of the plane.
On his way back to Blaine County, he is intervened by the air force who take out his engines, forcing him to jump out of the plane and land to safety. After parachuting down to the ground, Ron informs Trevor that he can still retrieve the weapon from the Alamo Sea where the Fuselage has fallen.

Get in the plane. Fly to the cargo plane. Follow the cargo plane, staying close to the ground. Fly close to the rear of the cargo plane. Fly inside the cargo plane. Take out the guards. Take over the cargo plane's controls. Fly the cargo plane back to the McKenzie Field. Climb to a safe altitude to jump from the plane.(If flying the Cargo Plane too low) Jump from the plane. Parachute to safety.
Accuracy - Finish with a shooting accuracy of at least 80% Four Wheel Flier - Exit the cargo plane in the Mesa.
The Cargo plane crashes towards the end of the mission after intervention from the air force who take down the plane's engines with missiles. A few Merryweather men including the pilot of the cargo plane are killed by Trevor Philips when he gets into the plane in mid-air.
Parachute at Ammu-Nation Rail Gun at Ammu-Nation (enhanced version only) Homing Launcher at Ammu-Nation Ability to play as Michael and Trevor again Free Parachutes when entering any aircraft.
After this mission, Wade informs Trevor that some of Cheng’s men came by asking for him and they looked angrier than before. Trevor also receives a call from Wade who tells him he might be able to retrieve the weapons from the Alamo sea where the fuselage of the plane crashed. He also informs Trevor that an Agent Sanchez came by to meet Michael and him. Michael has a talk with Dr. Friedlander and a short session is conducted on the phone where Dr. Friedlander asks him a couple of questions and tells him to come by his office soon.
This mission bears similarities to the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas missions N.O.E., Stowaway and Freefall During the flight to the Cargo Plane, Trevor receives a text from Franklin warning him that he's seen people asking about him. These people are the O'Neil Brothers who survived the events of Crystal Maze looking for revenge. This text foreshadows the events of Predator. When Trevor gets into his Bodhi outside his trailer, the radio will be tuned to Channel X, and "Lexicon Devil" by The Germs will always play. It is impossible to get close to the Cargo Plane until Ron informs Trevor that they have cleared the Fort Zancudo airspace.
