Military Hardware is a setup mission for the heist in GTA 5. This mission can be done as protagonists or .
In this setup mission, the player has to take out the soldiers guarding the military convoy and take the truck back to the meth lab.

At the start of this setup mission, the player will receive a message from Lester Crest with information that the preparations for the Paleto Score heist mission have been done, except for the military truck. The truck will be seen on the map. To complete this mission with a gold medal, the player has to take out the first vehicle with a sticky bomb by placing it on the route of the convoy and setting it off when the first vehicle drives over the bomb. The guards will then attack the player. After taking out all the guards(with headshots for the gold medal) the player has to get into the truck and drive it back to Trevor’s office (the meth lab) where the heist was planned and park it at the yellow marker.

The mission ends when the player walks out of the after parking it.

There are two different routes that the convoy takes. Occasionally, the Barracks may spawn without the canvas roof. This is the only time this occurs in-game. The truck will drive all the way to Fort Zancudo if the player follows it, and even then they will still be able to steal it without failing the mission, despite the reason for the mission failing if they lose the truck being "The convoy reached the base".
