Bury the Hatchet is a storyline mission in GTA V that can be played as either or . In this mission, Trevor travels to North Yankton to find out who was really buried in Michael’s fake grave. Suddenly Michael and Trevor find themselves pointing guns at each other when they are interrupted by Wei Cheng's men who are looking for Trevor.
At the start of this mission, Trevor is seen visiting Michael at the De Santa residence. Michael is seen sitting on his couch in the living room while Trevor walks in and takes a seat next to him. Soon an argument breaks out and Michael, when questioned about who actually was buried in his fake grave, has no answer. Trevor figures that his suspicions about Brad are true after all and leaves for airfield to fly to Ludendorff himself and confirm the truth.
Trevor takes Michael’s car and drives away. Michael then goes to Los Santos International Airport and also flies to North Yankton. At the airport Wei Cheng’s men who had been following Trevor, follow Michael instead. Trevor reaches the graveyard in Ludendorff and searches for Michael Townley’s grave.
Once he finds Michael’s grave he starts digging it up. Soon Michael reaches North yankton as well and drives to the cemetery. He finds Trevor digging up his grave and tries to convince him for one last time that he isn’t going to find anything. Soon Trevor reaches the casket and busts open a hole near the top part through which he sees the face of the person buried. He realizes it was Brad from his golden tooth and Trevor and Michael soon find themselves pointing guns at each other.
At this point Wei Cheng’s men interrupt and Trevor runs away. Cheng’s men think Michael is Trevor’s boyfriend/lover and plan to kidnap him instead. Michael gets stuck at the cemetery and tries to make his way out to his car. Unfortunately Cheng’s men get a hold of him.
Trevor is then seen flying back to Los Santos when he gets a call from Wei Cheng informing him that Michael is in his possession and he must act soon to see him alive. Annoyed by Michael's lies, Trevor acts like he does not care and flies back to Sandy Shores airfield. This is where the ends.

Go to the Sandy Shores Airfield. Get in the plane. Fly to North Yankton. Fly back to the Sandy Shores Airfield. (After the shootout)
Time - Complete within 11:00. Headshots - Kill 20 enemies with a headshot. Accuracy - Finish with a shooting accuracy of at least 80%.
Many of Wei Cheng’s men are killed by Michael as he tries to escape from the graveyard.
The Moment of Truth achievement/trophy
After this mission Trevor returns to Los Santos and receives a call from who asks him to help with the transportation of the cars for Devin Weston.
The mission title is an idiom meaning "to make peace" or "to forget about the past". If the player decides to travel to North Yankton as Trevor, he will have to fly west of San Andreas in order to go to North Yankton, despite it being located east of San Andreas. As he flies closer to the Pacific Ocean, the weather changes from cloudy to rain to a thunderstorm. This mission is one of the rare appearances of the Asea in the original version of the game if playing as Michael. When Michael fires his pistol at Trevor during the cutscene, it notably has a different firing sound. In the cutscene where Michael is boarding the plane, through the plane window, a bus can be seen within the airport tarmac. This cannot be seen in normal gameplay, as buses will only spawn normally on the roads surrounding the airport tarmac instead. During the scene where Michael gets on the plane and the plane takes off, when it shows the plane in flight, North Yankton's visible ground can be seen in the background.
