The Bullpup Shotgun is heavily based on the Kel-Tec KSG. This weapon is manufactured by Hawk & Little. It can be fitted with a grip, suppressor and flashlight on the Picatinny rails provided on the gun. It has the Hawk & Little logo as well as the lettering on both sides of the gun’s body.
(The Bullpup Shotgun held in first person perspective)
The Bullpup Shotgun is a very powerful weapon in close range but not so effective for even medium range fights. It shoots 8 pellets in a single shot with quite a lot of spread that increases with distance. This weapon can take out targets even with armor at a close range in a single shot if hit accurately. At a little further distance it takes at least two shots to take down targets with armor. The accuracy of the bullpup shotgun can be improved a little by using a grip, making it slightly better in that case than the . However, the reload time is a whole second, which is a disadvantage. Using this gun with ’s ability does not make sense as the pump reload time is high and hence aim can be reset easily even without the ability.
Unlike the real KSG, which has two selectable ammo tubes of 7 rounds each, the Bullpup Shotgun does not feature this, instead treating both tubes as one long tube of 14 rounds. Despite Ammu-nation's stats on the shotgun, the Bullpup shotgun deals less damage than a Pump Shotgun, and this is more noticeable against enemies that have armor. Oddly, the HUD icon for the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 version of the game had iron sights on the weapon, while the PlayStation 4/Xbox One/PC icon lacks the sights. In-game, however, the opposite is true: the PS3/XB360 version lacks the iron sights, while the XB1/PS4/PC version has them. This trait is also shared with the Assault Shotgun.
