The AP Pistol is based on a range of automatic machine pistols. It resembles the Colt 1911 and the Colt SCAMP with features from the OTs-33 Pernach. The AP Pistol has the manufacturer’s name on both sides of the . It also has some lettering that mentions the type of rounds used and the firing type of the weapon. It is very similar to the Automatic 9mm from The Lost and The Damned. It has a Picatinny rail for attachments on the top but can be fitted with only a suppressor and a flashlight, none of which need the Picatinny rail.
(A fully upgraded AP Pistol in first person perspective)
The AP Pistol performs better than most weapons in the game. It has a high fire rate, great accuracy, range, and stability. The AP Pistol is no doubt better than the Micro and probably even the SMG, making it the best weapon for drive-bys. This weapon is highly accurate even in long ranges. It takes 3-4 bullets to take down a target with armor while hitting body shots. Using this weapon with ’s special ability gives the player a great advantage in gunfights due to the large clip size and high fire rate.

Can be purchased from Ammu-Nation for $1,000 after the mission ‘Three’s Company’. Can be acquired by Trevor Philips from the Cargo Plane pilot during Minor Turbulence. Used by Michael De Santa during Three's Company. Patrick 'Packie' McReary's accomplice uses an AP Pistol during a random event. Given to Franklin Clinton during the obvious approach of The Big Score.
The AP Pistol seems to be the weapon of choice for Steve Haines and Andreas Sanchez, as they both use it in the mission The Wrap Up. During the rappelling part of Three's Company, Michael actually fires his AP Pistol in three-round bursts instead of fully-automatic mode, as noticed by the slight delay between every three shots. This is probably made for the sake of the "Accuracy" gold objective, so the player would not waste bullets by mistake.
