Hello and welcome to the live coverage of the Commonwealth Games 2018 as the Swimming events are set to start at the Optus Aquatic Centre. India has started the Commonwealth games strongly, winning four medals already. All the medals, however, have come in weightlifting but there has been progress in other events as well. One event that has particularly disappointed has been swimming with The competitors usually bowing out in heats. Virdhawal Khade did make it out of the heats only to lose in the next round. Khelo India sensation Srihari Nataraj, who is making his CWG debut also couldn't move out of his heat.

Day 3 of the Commonwealth Games brings back swimming amongst other sports with Sajan Prakash the athlete on display.

Sajan had already taken part in 50m butterfly on Day 1 of the games but failed to qualify from his heat.

The 24-year-old swimmer was born in Kerala and is taking part in 4 events at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
Sajan will be hoping to do better than his previous appearance when he returns to Optus Aquatic Centre on Day 3 of the games.
