PRESENTED BY HUTCHINSON, Kan. -– Opening-round play at the 2014 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan. has been suspended, tournament officials announced at 6:50 p.m. ET on Friday after it was determined that the course was unplayable due steady rain. Oregon leads at 3 under par with its team members through between four and six holes. The early wave of teams endured delays that totaled 8 hours and 10 minutes. After a 40-minute delay at the outset of the tournament, teams were pulled off the course at 10:02 a.m. ET, beginning a five-hour delay. Play resumed shortly after 3 p.m. ET and the teams played for nearly one and a half hours before it was halted for a second time at 4:25. First-round play will resume at 8 a.m. ET Saturday.
