This was as per the agreement Jiraiya had made but Naruto declined the offer yet that didn’t stop Tokiwa as when he went away, she tracked him down and told him all about Shizuka's past.
After persuading Naruto, who finally agrees that if he defeats Shizuka, he would marry her, Tokiwa creates an arena using Earth Release. After the battle is over, Kokuya tries to capture Shizuka but dispatched him easily However, when Kokuya's Hundred Puppet Soul Binding technique is activated, Tokiwas realizes that all the puppets and attacks were just a distraction for the real attack. After Naruto rescues Shizuka, they head to the Harbour to see them off.
