India vs Qatar LIVE Score and Commentary FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022

The match starts at 10:30 p.m. IST This is it from today's match as India go down 1-0 to Qatar after a historic 0-0 draw last time out. Do tune in on 7th June for the crucial India vs Bangladesh fixture, I, Mohak Arora bid you a goodbye for now. Sunil Chhetri, Glan Martins, Sandesh Jhingan, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Ashique Kuruniyan, and Suresh Singh were the brightest spots in the team and look sure-starters for the match against Bangladesh on June 7. Qatar makes the first position in the group their own with 19 points from 7 matches whilst India are 4th with 3 points from 6 matches and the Indian football fans are eagerly looking forward to the top battles against Bangladesh on June 7 and against Afghanistan on June 15. The Crimsons play Oman in a battle of the top-two on June 7 as well. The referee blows the whistle to end the match and Qatar has defeated 10-men India 1-0 courtesy of a goal from Abdulaziz Hatem just after the half-hour mark. It has been a fantabulous performance for the Blue Tigers despite the Rahul Bheke red card in the 17th minute, Igor Stimac has definitely brought this team a long way from where they were a couple of years ago. 90+3' Sandesh Jhingan plays in a through pass for Manvir Singh but the ATK Mohun Bagan teammates are thwarted away by a Qatari defender who intercepts accurately to keep his side's clean sheet intact. 90+1' Three minutes added on by the fourth referee as Akash Mishra launches a trademark forward surge but it ends with a foul on a Qatari player by the Hyderabad FC defender. 89' Abdelkarim makes way for Homam Ahmed as the player with the most shots in today's match is taken off for a more defensive-minded full-back. 86' OFF THE WOODWORK! Fewer bodies in defense now as Qatar is able to manage more space in the midfield and drive a shot in which hit the post and came out luckily for the Indian team! 84' Sahal Abdul Samad replaces Ashique Kuruniyan and Liston Colaco comes on for Suresh Singh as Igor Stimac is just throwing attacking bodies on the field in the hope of an equalizing goal at this moment. 83' Suresh Singh does well to cover for Akash Mishra as the left-back was bombed by two overlapping forwards and it's a corner. It goes behind after hitting a Qatari player's head, corner given, surprising! 82' Abdulkarem once again gets a shot away from outside the box and the shot just kept rising and went over Gurpreet's fingertips and it's out for a goal kick. 79' Qatar introduces some fresh legs into the match in the hopes of killing this contest as Ismaeel Mohammad comes on for Yousuf. 78' Almoez Ali shown a yellow card for pushing Suresh Singh into the ground as the Bengaluru FC midfielder was initiating an attack for the Blue Tigers. 76' Words exchanged between the referee and Igor Stimac once again as the referee threatens the Indian manager by pointing him towards the stands! 74' Teenager Akash Mishra is replacing Bipin Singh on the left side of the Indian side for the last 15 minutes of the match. Ashique is expected to press the Qatari side for the remaining minutes. 71' India have brought on the attack-minded Apuia instead of the midfield enforcer Glan Martins and Igor Stimac has his eyes on the scoreline as India still trail by just a goal with under 20 minutes to go! 68' India makes their second change of the night as Apuia comes on for Glan Martins who has had an excellent debut against Asian champions Qatar. 66' Qatar makes their first change of the night as Mohammed Muntari makes way for Abdullah al-Harak 64' SAVEEE! Gurpreet uses his feet to make a brilliant save as Qatar's quick passing saw them drill holes in the Indian defense but the goalkeeper stands tall and keeps the Blue Tigers in the game. 63' First half's goalscorer Abduaziz Hatem brings out a shot from distance and Gurpreet had his angles covered yet again as he witnesses the ball go wide harmlessly! 62' A free-kick for Qatar in a promising area and the Indian defense once again comes out on top to bail Ashique Kuruniyan who conceded the set piece in the first place. 60' India are wasteful in attack yet again as Manvir Singh tries to find Udanta Singh but his pass is astray and meets the Qatar No.1 instead. Do India need to bring on a playmaker in the next few minutes? 56' The Indian players are starting to look tired with more than half an hour of play still left, will the defenders be able to keep up with the speed and accuracy of Qatar's attacks over the next half hour? 53' A good passing move from India sees no fruition as Bipin Singh plays the final ball a bit harder for Udanta Singh's speed and positioning on the pitch. 50' Sandesh Jhingan has taken the captaincy armband from Sunil Chhetri and he has taken the leadership role of stopping Qatari attacks and initiating India's attacks as well. 46' Udanta Singh replaces Sunil Chhetri for the second half of the match as Manvir Singh will be taking the role of lead striker for the second half! The players are out in the middle once again and we are restarting in a minute as the Blue Tigers trail 1-0 to the Crimsons. India needs a way back into the match and with bright playmakers like Brandon Fernandes and Sahal Abdul Samad on the bench, it would be interesting to see how Stimac reacts to the first red card of his reign as the Indian national team head coach. India had 0 shots and Qatar had 14 shots in the first half which tells you the whole story with Rahul Bheke's questionable sending-off putting the Blue Tigers in shackles early into the match!
Igor Stimac was taken away by his support staff before he was reprimanded for angrily exchanging words with the officials just after the half-time whistle. 45+1' The fourth referee signals for one extra minute as Qatar tries to build another attack but Glan Martins and Subhasish Bose do well to thwart away the attackers for now and the whistle is blown for the interval just after an Abdulkarim shot saved by Gurpreet to ensure India goes into half time only a single goal down! 44' Sunil Chhetri sets up Manvir Singh with an intelligent header and the ATK Mohun Bagan forward cut in on his left foot but his shot was blocked by Qatar defenders. 41' Karim Boudiaf tries a shot from 30 yards out and Gurpreet sees another shot sailing straight into the stands. 40' Ashique swiveled around two or three Qatar players but then tried to do a lot on his own with the passes available on both sides and he ends up losing the ball. 38' Qatar continues attacks as the Indians are defending deep now and Gurpreet catches an early cross with ease here! 33' GOAAAALLLLLL! Abdulaziz Hatem scores after a lot of missed chances to clear the ball away as the cross was too good and Gurpreet did get his leg to the ball but was unable to keep the effort out. Qatar lead against 10-men India! 32' Qatar venture into the penalty area once again but with Sandesh Jhingan and Glan Martins clearing every ball away, this was no exception as well! 30' ALMOST!! Ashique Kuruniyan crosses from the left and Manvir Singh failed to sort his feet out as a golden opportunity is wasted by the Blue Tigers. 29' Qatar passes short and pushes the ball into the Indian penalty area but Glan Martins is able to clear away the danger. 28' Bassam-al-Rawi takes a shot from long range but it sails over the Indian goal with Gurpreet almost acting as a spectator in that 35-yard effort. 25' Abdul Aziz takes a brilliant corner with Gurpreet scrambling for the ball but Adbulkarim heads it wide after beating his marker. 24' A lovely build-up play that almost led to a goal from Qatar but Sandesh Jhingan spoiled the party with a last-ditch tackle. EXCELLLENT! 19' India is now down to 10 men on the field and the handicap won't help Igor Stimac's cause as the Qatar attackers would look to exploit the spaces in between the defense and midfield now to look for the first goal of the night. 17' All was going well for India until Rahul Bheke handled the ball outside the penalty area and is shown a second yellow card and the former Bengaluru defender is sent off very early into the match. 15' Hassan-al-Haydos does a one-two pass and does well to create an opportunity but Sunil Chhetri brings a Qatar player down and it's a free-kick for the Crimsons playing in 'white'. Nothing substantial came from the set piece. 12' A rapid counter-attack from Qatar was looking very dangerous but Pritam Kotal's well-timed tackle thwarted the danger out and the scores are unaffected as of now. 9' A rash challenge from Rahul Bheke and the Mumbai-born defender goes into the book. Needs to be careful from this point as Qatar attackers always attack with speed and invite late challenges. 8' The Indian team looks to be coming into the game as each minute passes but the Blue Tigers do have men behind the ball when it comes to defending against the Qatar attacks. 5' Abdelkarim Hassan ventures into the Indian penalty area and Sandesh Jhingan brings him down but the referee points to a goal kick instead of a penalty here! 4' Abdulaziz Hatem gets a shot away after India fail to clear the ball away from their penalty area but Gurpreet is behind the ball and makes an easy save. 2' A cross from a Qatar player troubles Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and the goalkeeper touches it before it goes out for a corner.
