Club Brugge vs PSG Live Score and Commentary UEFA Champions League 2021-22

All eyes will be on Lionel Messi and PSG as they take on Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League Right, so Club Brugge have given us a performance for the ages, and PSG still have work to do with their star-studded squad. Liverpool and Real Madrid have won tonight, with the two Milan clubs narrowly missing out on victories. This has been an eventful week of European football, and it's only just getting started.

There's plenty more to come here at Sportskeeda so until then, this is signing off. Cheers, and have a good night! Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City have run riot against RB Leipzig, ending their nine-goal thriller with a 6-3 victory. They've topped their group at the moment, and PSG have more difficult tests to navigate in the Champions League this month.

Total market value:

PSG: 1.10 billion
Brugge: 165.33 million

Also PSG: - B/R Football (@brfootball) Lionel Messi will have to wait a few more days for his first goal in PSG colours, and several of the team's players will be disappointed with their performances tonight. The French giants huffed and puffed to no avail, and Club Brugge seemed likelier to score for large parts of the match. Make no mistake, this has been a herculean effort by Club Brugge. They were up against one of the best attacks in world football, and did more than just hold their ground. Flanders is a place of grit and tenacity, and as is the case with the history of the region, Bruges gave the Parisians their fair share of nightmares.

FULL TIME: Club Brugge 1-1 PSG 90 + 2' Change for Club Brugge, Faitout Maouassa on for Kamal Sowah. Easily cleared by Club Brugge, and now there's two minutes of stoppage-time. 90' Corner for PSG! Neymar bursts through the channel, determined as ever, but Mata recovers to concede the corner. 87' Meanwhile, Club Brugge win a corner at the other end. The delivery is poor though, and they have to play it all the way back to Mignolet. 86' Intricate play from PSG again, but Icardi finds himself offside. Messi is in the thick of it at the moment, and he could be crucial for PSG here. 85' Poor from Julian Draxler this time, Messi lays the ball off on the left but it's a nothing cross from the German. Club Brugge aren't been made to toil just as yet. 84' Excellent play by Messi and Herrera, but Icardi can't keep himself onside. Time running out now for PSG. 83' Neymar with a poor challenge on Nsoki, and it's quite shocking that that's not a booking. Blatant foul. 82' Keylor Navas with a nervous moment! He's forced into a mistake by Club Brugge's press, and PSG have to strive to get the ball back. 81' ICARDI! Nearly converts his flick, and it's only inches wide. Nuno Mendes has already made a massive difference. 79' Mendes with a wonderful run on the left, brilliant burst of pace. Finds Messi with his cut-back, but he skies his effort. PSG need a moment of magic from him. 77' Neymar nearly finds Icardi with another impressive attempt, but Club Brugge just about manage to intercept his pass. 76' Yellow Card for Eder Balanta.
Blatant pull of Neymar's shirt, and that's a straightforward booking. PSG with a free-kick. 75' Nuno Mendes replaces Abdou Diallo for PSG. 74' Lang attempts the spectacular!! Attempts a bicycle kick from close range and makes contact, but doesn't get the direction right. 72' Yellow Card for Lionel Messi!
Late challenge on Mats Rits, and he's slightly unlucky to go into the referee's books there. 70' Messi draws a save from Mignolet! Tight angle for the Argentine, but Messi and Neymar have done much more in these last ten minutes. 68' Eye-of-the-needle stuff from Messi to Neymar, but Jack Hendry does well to put the Brazilian off. PSG have amped it up a notch after the hour-mark. 67' Nearly there again are Club Brugge!! De Keteleare with another piece of brilliance to give the ball to Lang, and the former Ajax man chips in with a dangerous ball. PSG scramble to clear their lines, and are quite lucky to win a goal-kick. 63' PSG give the ball away again, and Club Brugge are at their throats. This is poor from the French - you can't have Messi and Neymar in your team and fail to give them any time on the ball. 62' Yellow Card for Noah Lang.
This game has a visible edge to it now, and Lang seems overly eager to win the ball up the pitch. 60' Free-kick for Club Brugge, after some excellent hold-up play from De Keteleare. The Belgians don't do much with it, but their passion tonight has been admirable. 59' PSG clear their lines easily this time, and subsequently win a goal-kick. just over half an hour left in this game. 58' Lang wins another corner! Intricate play by Club Brugge, and Lang's shot is blocked by Danilo. 57' Not his best work, that, it's straight into Mignolet's hands. Marquinhos is down though, and this could be another source of concern for PSG. 57' Messi's turning on the style again through the middle this time, and he's won a free-kick. A bit too much distance from goal though, and this should be more of a set-piece. 56' Lionel Messi does brilliantly to beat his man (read: men) on the right wing and cuts in, but Draxler's eventual shot is blocked. 53' Icardi, so close! Messi finds Neymar, and Neymar digs out an excellent pass for Icardi. His first touch lets him down, however, and the chance goes begging. 51' Mauro Icardi comes on for Kylian Mbappe, who's picked up a worrying knock. 50' Kylian Mbappe is struggling again, and he's signalled to the bench and he needs some time off. We aren't going to see any more of the trio tonight. 49' Vanaken!! The midfielder gets into an excellent position to shoot, and it takes a crucial block to keep PSG safe. Abdou Diallo in the right place at the right time. 48' Club Brugge have started this half well, and manage to win a corner off Keylor Navas. Dangerous times for PSG. 46' Changes for PSG, Julian Draxler in for Georginio Wijnaldum and Danilo in for Leandro Paredes. THE SECOND HALF IS UNDERWAY!
PSG attacking from left to right. Right, so we're back in Bruges for the second half. Something needs to change for PSG - can they restore their lead tonight? Messi and Mbappe have linked up well, but there seems to be a lack of coherence in PSG's play at the moment. Lionel Messi did step up with a stunning moment of magic, but Neymar has been uncharacteristically quiet tonight. Plenty of time left in this game, and Club Brugge face a daunting challenge on the other side of this interval. PSG got the first goal of the game with Ander Herrera scoring an excellent volley but Club Brugge were ready with their response, and what a response it was. Vanaken stepped up with an excellent finish, and PSG seemed decidedly uncomfortable after the equalizer. Who could've seen that coming? PSG were second-best for large parts of that half, and Club Brugge have worn their hearts on their sleeves. Sowah, Vanaken, and De Keteleare have been brilliant tonight and they'll need to put in a similar effort in the second half. HALF-TIME: Club Brugge 1-1 PSG 45 + 1' Neymar is bullied off the ball by Vanaken, and Flanders is absolutely thrilled with this half. Just one minute of added time.. 44' Straight into Navas' hands, but his attempted counter goes straight into the referee. PSG's ball. Load More
