Larry played his college basketball for Wyoming. In his four years there, he averaged 11.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.1 blocks in 123 games and was considered as one of the best big men in Mountain West Conference. He led the Wyoming Cowboys to their first NCAA tournament since 2002 in 2014-15.
