br Mark Hunt started his combat sports journey in his early 20s as a kickboxer. Hunt fought in the Oceanian kickboxing circuit and amassed a record of 15-wins and 4-losses before entering the K-1 Oceania Tournament in 2000. br Hunt dominated everyone in the tournament as he defeated Aumitage, Rony Sefo, and Phil Fagan by knockout to clinch the title. br Hunt had a successful run as a kickboxer after he got signed with K-1. He won the 2001 K-1 World Grand Prix Preliminary Melbourne Champion, followed by a second K-1 Oceania Grand Prix Championship victory. Hunt dominated Werdum in the early stages of the fight but failed to capitalize as Werdum TKO'ed him in the second round. br Hunt went 2-1 in his next 3-fights before fighting at UFC 200. The fighters battled for the entire 25-minute duration that ended with a unanimous decision victory for Brock Lesnar.
