Early Life and Career

br Austin Vanderford started his combat sports journey as a wrestler. As a wrestler, he became a 2-time Alaska State Wrestling Champion, a 1-time NAIA 184lb National Wrestling Champion in 2012, and was a 2-time NAIA all-American Wrestler before transitioning to MMA. br Austin made his amateur debut in 2015 against Eric McConica at Battle in the Burg 3. Vanderford won the fight via first-round submission (arm-triangle choke). He followed this up by winning his next 3-amateur fights and amassing a record of 4-0 before turning professional in 2017. br Vanderford made his professional MMA debut against Sol Renato at Prime Fighting 9. Austin won the fight in the first round via punches. He built on this momentum as he won his next 8-fights in the regional circuit. Following this impressive run, he signed with Bellator MMA in 2019.

br Austin Vanderford fought made his Bellator debut at Bellator 225. against Joseph Creer. He won the bout via TKO( Doctors' Stoppage). Austin then won his next fight vs. Grachik Bozinyan via unanimous decision at Bellator 234. He then went on a 1-year hiatus from Bellator to fight grappling bouts at 's Submission Underground. br He went 2-1 in Submission Underground before returning to Bellator in 2020 at Bellator 251 against Vinicius de Jesus. Vanderford defeated Jesus via unanimous decision and then defeated Fabian Edwards at Bellator 259.
