Roddy is a black belt In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is currently the owner of Owen Roddy MMA in Ireland. br Owen Roddy made his professional MMA debut in 2005 at Ultimate Fighting Revolution 4 against Mark Robinson. Roddy won the fight via 2nd round submission(triangle choke). Owen then lost his next fight against Nayed Hezam at KOK - Fight Promotions via 1st round armbar submission. Owen bounced back from this loss and went on a 4-fight win streak including, 3 KO/TKO victories. br Roddy's fight win-streak was ended at ROT 7 when Emmanuel Fernandez knocked him out in the second round. He then fought Sergej Grecicho at UC 1 - Battle on the Border and again lost via 1st round Achilles Lock submission. br After suffering the 2-consecutive losses, Roddy went on a 7-fight win streak including, 4-submission, 2-KO/TKO, and 1-unanimous decision victory. This fight streak ended in 2012 when Roddy fought and lost to Wilson Reis in the third round via technical submission (rear-naked choke) at Cage Warriors Fighting Championship 50. br Roddy announced his retirement from the sport in 2013 citing the injuries he had sustained throughout his 7-year long career as the main reason for this decision. br
