ABOUT LATEST NEWS ABOUT Killian Deron Antron Hayes is a French-American professional basketball player who plays for the Detroit Pistons in the NBA. He mainly plays the point guard and shooting guard position. Born in Lakeland Florida he spent most of his life in France where his father used to play professional basketball. He started playing basketball at a very young age, often playing against older opponents in Lakeland. He wanted to return to the US to play high school and college and high school basketball but his parents advised him not to. Hayes used to watch videos on youtube and modeled his game after NBA legend Dwyane Wade’s style of play. He turned down an opportunity to join INSEP, a prestigious sports institute in Paris to play for Espoirs Cholet in LNB Espoirs, the French under-21 league. In April 2017, he recorded 13 points, seven assists, and five steals, sharing MVP honors with Addison Patterson, at the Jordan Brand Classic International Game. In the 2017–18 season, Hayes averaged 16.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game for Espoirs Cholet winning the MVP after the regular season and helped his team win the Trophée du Futur (Trophy of the Future), being named MVP of the competition. He played in the basketball without borders games at the all-star weekend on two different occasions once in 2017 and then again in 2019. In 2019 he signed a 3 year deal with German club Ratiopharm Ulm of the Basketball Bundesliga. He played one season there averaging 11.6 points, 5.4 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game through 33 combined games in the EuroCup, BBL, and BBL-Pokal. After the season Hayes did not play in the BBL Final tournament announcing that he would enter the 2020 NBA draft.
