Meanwhile, Scotland delivered another shock result in the first round of the tournament as they defeated West Indies in their opening contest. Ireland and Zimbabwe are currently battling it out in the second game from that group. That's all from our coverage of this warm-up game. You can to catch all the live action from the Group B game. For now, this is Pratyush signing off on behalf of my partner, Arya. Tata! Right then. That's all from this warm-up game. Plenty of boxes to tick for England. Not so many for Pakistan. The result in these games doesn't matter but the Pakistan performance perhaps sums up their overreliance on Babar and Rizwan. Jos Buttler (England captain): (Stokes promotion) Malan missed out today so everyone just moved out by one. It's great to see him play so well. He's been hitting the ball wall in the nets and we all know what a dangerous player he is, so I'm sure he would have taken a lot from the run he got today. Everything we wanted to get out of today, we did. Livingstone is back on the field after an injury, getting in Jordan for four overs as well to come back from a broken finger. Curran got some time in the middle as well. We tried a few different things with the ball as well with guys wanting to experiment with this the perfect time to do that. We just wanted to get certain things out of the game and we got all of those. Obviously, batting first the game goes so fast in Australia so we just wanted to restrict them upfront and then chase it down. The guys played really well. This is what Shadab Khan had to say: I think all the departments. Fielding was not upto the mark, It’s an eye-opener for us, Hopefully, we will come harder in the next games, Shaheen is a top-class bowler, good sign for us, He looked in good rhythm. Everything is sorted out. We had to change the combinations as Babar and Rizwan weren’t there. This is an eye-opener. We didn’t perform well in all three departments but luckily it was a warm-up game. Hope everything will be settled once Babar and Rizwan return next match or in the match against India. Time for the post-match presentation ceremony. England won by 6 wickets!

Harry Brook - 50* (24) David Willey - 2/22
Shan Masood - 39 (22) Mohammad Wasim - 2/17

A comprehensive batting performance from England to blow away this Pakistan side. It was always going to be a challenge for the Men in Green without Babar and Rizwan but the rest of the team hasn't covered themselves in any sort of glory. Apart from Masood's impressive start, there were barely any positives to take for Pakistan.

With the ball, you'd back their bowling attack to put on a fight when defending 160 but that was far from the case. Shaheen looked impressive with his two overs on his return with Wasim carrying on his fine form too. That was all though! Nawaz and Shadab proved to be quite costly, as did Hasnain and Naseem.

Only Mohammad Wasim can hold his head high after his performance with the bat and ball. After the Pakistan bowlers restricted both England openers, it was Ben Stokes' blazing innings at three that injected some impetus into the England innings.

Their middle order, unlike Pakistan's, stepped up with Livingstone, Brook and Curran doing the finishing job. Jos Buttler didn't even have a part to play today. Plenty of positives to take for England, including the welcome return to form for their most dangerous batters. As for Pakistan, it won't be a case of going back to the drawing board but they will need to dust themselves off quickly after a defeat like this.

Needless to say, it will the fielding and the middle order will be the two main concerns for Pakistan. Stick around for the presentations to hear what the captains have to say. 14.4 Mohammad Wasim to Sam Curran, that will be it. A comprehensive victory for England. A fuller-length delivery angling into the left-hander. On the middle-stump, Curran clears his front leg and swings across the line. Ends up getting an inside edge which goes wide of the short fine leg fielder and off to the boundary ropes. 14.3 Mohammad Wasim to Harry Brook, short delivery this time and a single taken towards the fine leg area. 14.2 Mohammad Wasim to Harry Brook, on a good-length around middle. Brook only manages to hit that straight to the mid-on fielder. 14.1 Mohammad Wasim to Sam Curran, a yorker on the stumps that has been nudged away down the ground towards the mid-on area for a single. Mohammad Wasim [2.0-0-11-2] is back into the attack

England are just one hit away from victory now. 14 4 4 1 6 6 1 13.6 Mohammad Nawaz to Sam Curran, length a tad outside off, Curran slices it away towards the deep point area for a single. 13.5 Mohammad Nawaz to Sam Curran, back to back sixes for Sam Curran. This time a tad on the fuller side. Curran gets his dancing shoes on and nails it back over the bowler's head. Right to the pitch of the ball and nails it and the long-on fielder is a mere spectator. 13.4 Mohammad Nawaz to Sam Curran, now Curran joins in the fun. A short one from Nawaz on that occasion. Sat up nicely for Curran as he rocks back and connects the pull to perfection. Well over the deep square leg fielder for a maximum. 13.3 Mohammad Nawaz to Harry Brook, singke taken towards the on side by Brook on that occasion. 13.2 Mohammad Nawaz to Harry Brook, what is happening with these Pakistan fielders? This time sloppy work from Haider Ali. The ball is following him. Brook goes for the sweep, Haider Ali was well inside the boundary and again makes a meal of it. Back to back fours for Harry Brook. 13.1 Mohammad Nawaz to Harry Brook, Easy pickings for a man who has got his eyes set in at the moment. On a length from Nawaz a shade outside off. Too short to be honest, Brook makes some space and lifts this well over the cover fielder and it races away to the boundary ropes. Well, this one's pretty much over already with the way Harry Brook is batting. As good as the death stage now for Pakistan, so they might want to give Shaheen a couple more overs alongside Haris Rauf. Nothing of that sort so far though. Spin to continue. 13 1 1 6 4b 2 1 Wanna suggest something? Power through the road less
