Alright then, Sixers thump Thunder in this particular contest and they are looking very good to win the title this time. That brings us to the end of this games coverage, do switch tabs to the game taking place in Adelaide Oval and plenty more cricketing action coming up later as well. This has been me, Pradeep signing off, stay safe and take care! Ash Gardner has been adjudged the Player of the Match for her all-round performance both the bat and ball! Sydney Sixers Women win the game by 15 runs!

Darlington did scare the Sixer right at the end with a few monstrous hits but Ecclestone held her nerve in the end. Thunder needed someone to anchor the innings but they lost their way around that 16th over mark where they lost a heap of wickets.

Sixers needed to strike early and Lauren Cheatle delivers for them, she removes Beaumont in the second over and then Litchfield in the fifth over cheaply and that dented the Thunder's chances of chasing this total down. However, Sammy-Jo Johnson and Rachel Haynes had other ideas, both stitched a partnership of sorts to get them back into the contest.

Johnson departs at the half-way mark as she was looking good. Haynes gets joined by Tryon who comes out with positive intent, took the attack to the bowlers and smashes a few boundaries to help with the required run-rate.

Cheatle comes back to deliver another huge blow for the Thunder as Haynes departs for a well made 37 off 29 deliveries and then immediately Tryon and then Smith in the space of 6 deliveries which derailed their chase completely and from there on it became an uphill task for the remaining batters to chase it down.

Laurel Cheatle has been remarkable for the Sixers, with swing on offer, she used it to her advantage and then struck early. Ash Gardner with a fifty has notched up three wickets as well and something of a game for her to remember this one as Sixers went on to win their sixth game of the season. If only Darlington had a fewer than the required number of runs in the final over to win, she would've pulled it off but Sixers held their nerve and register yet another win. 20 W 1 4 6 1 1 19.6 Sophie Ecclestone to Belinda Vakarewa, THAT'S IT! All over for the Thunder and Sixers finish a thumping victory again and they remain at the top of the table with another brilliant win. Full on the off-stump, Vakarewa backed away and smacked it straight to the cover fielder. 19.5 Sophie Ecclestone to Hannah Darlington, length delivery on the stumps, Darlington skips down the track to hoick, takes the inside edge around the corner for one. 19.4 Sophie Ecclestone to Hannah Darlington, SIX MORE! Darlington is turning it on but for a lost cause here. Short on the middle and leg, Darlington sat back and SMOKES it over deep mid-wicket fence for a maximum. 19.3 Sophie Ecclestone to Hannah Darlington, FOUR! Length delivery on the off-stump, Darlington has a big swing across the line, gets a thick outside edge and runs down to third-man for a boundary. 19.2 Sophie Ecclestone to Belinda Vakarewa, length delivery on the off-stump, Vakarewa has a big swing but she mistimes it to covers for a single. Belinda Vakarewa, RHB walks out to bat! 19.1 Sophie Ecclestone to Olivia Porter, OUT! TIMBER! Length delivery on the middle and leg, Porter backs away, exposes all her stumps to hoick but misses, knocks the leg-stump. Sophie Ecclestone to bowl the final over! Too little too late from Darlington, they have a mountain to climb of the final over as Thunder need 29 of the last over! 19 1 4 0 0 1 6 18.6 Maitlan Brown to Hannah Darlington, SIX! BOOM! That's a monstrous hit from Darlington, my goodness. Short on the fourth stump, Darlington stays leg-side of the ball and DISPATCHED it with DISDAIN over deep square-leg for a humongous maximum. 18.5 Maitlan Brown to Olivia Porter, full on the wide of off-stump, Porter reaches for it to hoick, takes the outside edge but can't beat the diving short third-man for one. 18.4 Maitlan Brown to Olivia Porter, length delivery on the wide of off-stump, Porter walks across with a big swing of the bat and misses, through to the keeper. 18.3 Maitlan Brown to Olivia Porter, keeps low, doesn't get up at all as Porter walks down the track to heave but misses. 18.2 Maitlan Brown to Olivia Porter, FOUR! Short on the fifth stump, Porter swings hard and that takes a thick outside edge, flies wide of the keeper and down to third-man for a boundary. Wanna suggest something? Power through the road less
