And that will be that for Mumbai. Shivam Dube comes in and seal the deals in style to top off an excellent performance, not only for himself but also his side. He chipped in with a couple of wickets in the first innings along with Shams Mulani's excellent spell to restrict Vidarbha to 164.
Defending a total of 165 against this power-packed Mumbai batting lineup was always going to be a tough task for the Vidarbha bowlers and they fought well enough at the start. Rahane was dismissed early with Jaiswal not making much of an impact either.
Shaw got off to a brisk start and made most of the Powerplay but he too lost his wicket cheaply in the middle. There were no further hiccups for Mumbai from there on though. It was pretty much the Shreyas Iyer show from there on.
The Indian international took the game by the scruff of the neck and blazed his way to 73 off 44 balls after a slowish start. Sarfaraz Khan played the perfect second fiddle with both batters doing a splendid job to make this run chase look like a piece of cake in the end.
Of course, neither of them was able to hang in there to finish the job for their side but Shivam Dube did just that, and in some style too. His back-to-back sixes have sent Mumbai to their first SMAT final and have promised that there will be a new champion crowned this year. 17.0 16.5 Lalit Yadav to Shivam Dube, SIX AGAIN! Mumbai win! Short on middle and leg, Dube waits in the crease and simply deposits this one way over the deep midwicket fence for a MAXIMUM! Vidarbha crash out of the tournament! 16.4 Lalit Yadav to Shivam Dube, SIX! That was huge! Pitched right in the slot, Dube needed no second invitation to slog this one over the long off fence for a HUGE hit! Just two runs needed now! 16.3 Lalit Yadav to Shivam Dube, short and into him on middle, Dube pats it back to the bowler. 16.2 Lalit Yadav to Shams Mulani, fullish outside off, Mulani runs it down to third man for a run. Shams Mulani, LHB, comes to the crease Sarfaraz Khan would have wanted to stay out there and see his side over the line. Disappointing dismissal for him but it was a handy knock from him nonetheless. 16.1 Lalit Yadav to Sarfaraz Khan, OUT! Fullish on leg, Khan charges down the track and hits it straight down the throat of the fielder at mid off, Umesh Yadav, who makes no mistake whatsoever! Just nine runs needed now.

The stage is set for a Mumbai vs Himachal Pradesh final at the iconic Eden Gardens on Saturday evening. It is Shreyas Iyer's home ground of sorts now with him leading the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. Will he be in the thick of things again to help Mumbai lift their first title? Time will tell. For now, that's all we have for you! This is Pratyush Rohra, signing off on behalf of my partner, Mohul Bhowmick. Thank you for joining our coverage. See ya! Let's hear it from Shreyas Iyer: It felt good to have played this knock. A bit disappointed to not have been there till the end. The dew factor came into play today and things worked in our favour. Thankfully, I was timing the ball rather well today and it was important that I took up the responsibility to do well. We got a good start, and that helped me carry on. Prithvi (Shaw) did well. Excited to play Himachal in the final; they have done really well in this competition. We are not going to underestimate their prowess and focus more on our strengths. Mumbai won by 165 runs and make it to their first SMAT final!Shreyas Iyer - 73 (44) Shams Mulani - 3/20
