Brisbane Heat Women move up to second place now with this win but as for the Sydney Thunder Women, their hopes of making the last four are all but over. This is the pair of Bidipto and Divyansh saying good bye, but now is your time to switch tabs and follow the crucial T20 World Cup match between Australia and Afghanistan to find out if the hosts stay alive or not, and how, here at Sportskeeda! Match Summary-

Brisbane Heat Women win by 14 runs.

Sydney Thunder Women: 149/9 (20.0)
Sammy-Jo Johnson 41 (41) Phoebe Litchfield 39 (22)
Jess Jonassen 3/20 (4.0) Courtney Sippel 3/27 (4.0)

The Heats win the match comfortably in the end, thanks to the Harris-Redmayne show in the first innings. They put up a good total after deciding to bat first.

Sippel started off the bowling with a wicket on the first ball, and then came the 70 run partnership between Litchfield and Sammy-Jo, Litchfield was run out quite early but a poor decision from the umpire deemed her not out. She went on to play a brilliant 39 run innings and right when she was looking to change gears she was run out because of a misunderstanding.

There was no comeback after that, as it was the last shift in momentum in the game. Heats comfortably bowled out the overs since that run out. Haynes tried her best but no other batter looked to stay on the crease for long. They lost 6 wickets in the last 4 overs, looking to play big shots and getting out under the scoreboard pressure.

Sippel and Jonassen got 3 wickets each, Kerr came back well after getting hit for 20 in her first 2, she ended her spell with 1/29. The duo of Harris and Redmayne got the most important run out of Litchfield.

Heats go second in the points table as this is a massive win for them. Thunders are almost out of the tournament with the loss. 20 1 1 W 1 1 W 19.6 Jess Jonassen to Belinda Vakarewa, GONE!
