She was charged with attempted murder on August 26, 2017, and was released from jail soon after she posted a $25,000 bond. Although Katie Quackenbush was initially charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a jury found her guilty of reckless endangerment, which is only a charge.
