PRESENTED BY EASTON, Pa. -- Selected fencers chosen to represent Penn State at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/Southern Regionals competed and dominated much of the competition at Lafayette. Many of the competing Penn State fencers finished in the top ten for their events. Penn State saw stand out performances from senior Adrian Bak and sophomore Nobuo Bravo who both finished 1st place in their events of men's saber and men's foil, respectively. In men's epee, freshman Conor Shepard finished 4th while junior Jeffrey Miller finished 6th and sophomore Yasser Mahmoud finished 8th. In women's epee, freshman Jessie Radanovich finished 4th while sophomore Jessica Lyublinsky-O'Niell finished 7th on the day. Sophomore Clarisse Luminet finished 3rd in her event of women's foil. Other notable finishes include Alina Antokhina and juniors Kane Gladnick who finished 5th and 9th, respectively. Senior Nicole Glon had a solid performance and managed to finish 2nd for the day in women's saber. Other notable finishes include freshman Teodora Kakihani and junior Elizabeth Rapp who finished 4th and 7th, respectively. As a team the Nittany Lions look to improve on last year's third place finish at Nationals as they are set to compete at the NCAA Championships on March 20th in Columbus, Ohio. Penn State will be searching for its thirteenth National Championship, and its third in the last six years.
