During an interview on The MMA Hour with , Bellator welterweight Michael Page addressed his loss to Logan Storley, claiming that 'Storm' came to the fight to survive rather than inflict damage. At Bellator 281, Storley effectively neutralized 'MVP's' superior stand-up game by controlling him on the ground for a good portion of the fight. During the interview, 'Venom' stated that he was not bruised or injured after the five-round affair: "Afterwards I was like, yeah he didn't do anything. I'm being dead serious when I say - I have not one bruise, one sore, one injury, not nothing that is niggling from that fight. I genuinely feel like I haven't had a five-round championship fight... Like I said, he didn't come to damage, he came to survive. Now tactically great for him, he won the fight. But it's frustrating still, to have lost that way."
