When that match wrapped, the contest on court No. 2 was tied at six games apiece, after Alex Leatu and Jordaan Sanford had just won three consecutive games to tie it up. The BU duo kept the momentum rolling, winning the next two games to take the match 8-6, giving the Lady Bears the doubles point. In singles play, the 59th-ranked Generette made quick work of No. 30 Corning 7-5, 6-2 on court No. 1 and Shankle dispatched of 109th-ranked Lok Sze Leun, 6-0, 7-5 on court No. 5. Those wins put BU up 3-0 and only one point away from clinching the match. Kisialeva notched the clinching point with a 7-5, 6-3 victory against Barnett at the No. 3 position. From that point, Ema Burgic retired from her match on court No. 2, Megan Horter dropped a 7-5, 6-4 decision on court No. 6 and Sanford upset 92nd-ranked Jillian Rooney 6-2, 7-5 at the No. 4 spot.
