CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Dana Trivigno, Emily Field and Haley Skarupa each scored two goals and senior co-captain Corinne Boyles stopped 30 shots as No. 5 Boston College defeated Northeastern 6-1 at Kelley Rink on Sunday night. Emily Field gave the Eagles a 1-0 first-period lead but the Huskies evened the score at 13:46 of the opening stanza. BC continued its strong special-teams play with a power-play goal at 18:42 of the first period. Haley Skarupa took a feed from Taylor Wasylk and wristed a cross-ice pass from the dot to Dana Trivigno, who hammered it home. Only one goal was scored in the second period which was a power-play goal from Skarupa. Field scored her second goal of the night at 2:21 of the third stanza and then Skarupa scored the third power-play goal of the night at 4:40 of the third period to make the score 5-1. Trivigno concluded the scoring at 15:58 of the third frame when she buried a feed from Field for her second goal of the contest. Corinne Boyles made 30 saves and improved to 7-2-0. No. 10 Boston University 4, Maine 2 BOSTON – Boston University completed a weekend sweep of Maine with a 4-2 win on Sunday afternoon at Walter Brown Arena. BU (9-1-1, 6-0-0 WHEA) scored twice in the first period and twice more in the final 20 minutes to secure the victory. Maine (0-7-3, 0-3-3 WHEA) trailed by just a goal late in the third period before freshman Samantha Sutherland scored an insurance goal to seal the win. Senior Kaleigh Fratkin and sophomore Rebecca Russo each had a goal and an assist while sophomore Jordan Juron provided the other BU goal. Senior goaltender Kerrin Sperry needed just 18 saves to secure her eighth triumph of the season.
