AARP’s 38 million members are diverse — different races, colors, genders, sexual orientations, political leanings, national or ethnic origins, ages, abilities and more. We are proud to serve and include all people in our mission, and to advocate against discrimination in all forms.

What do volunteers do to help their communities be more inclusive

Volunteers have the opportunity to fight for equality, put a stop to ageism and work with specific communities (LGBTQ, Black, Hispanic, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Urban, Rural and more) to offer support, resources and services.
