Compelling Findings
Findings from the were compelling: statistically significant improvements were observed on the Devereux Student Strengths Assessment Composite and on all eight social-emotional subscales during the 2018-19 school year. The strongest positive changes in subscale results were observed in personal responsibility, relationship skills, and decision making.

With support from the Corporation for National and Community Service, AARP Foundation engaged Abt Associates to conduct a pilot evaluation of social-emotional learning outcomes in two Experience Corps local programs during the 2018–19 school year.
