For more than 45 years, Legal Counsel for the Elderly has championed the dignity and rights of Washington, D.C. elders by providing free legal and social work services to those in need. Our work addresses the most important aspects of an older adult’s life, including housing, economic security, self-determination, and health and safety. What We Do
Legal Counsel for the Elderly’s Tenant Advocacy and Support Practice combines social work, legal and volunteer coordination.
The Consumer Protection and Homeownership Preservation Practice provides direct representation to LCE clients on a range of issues.
The Economic and Healthcare Security Practice works through expanded legal advice and counsel to ensure seniors receive the income, benefits and services to which they are entitled.
