How AARP Fights for Family Caregivers in Your State Caregiver Life Balance

Fighting for Family Caregivers

Across the states, about 48 million Americans care for parents, spouses, adult children with disabilities, friends and other loved ones. They manage medications, provide transportation, prepare meals, handle finances, perform complex medical tasks and much more. Family caregivers have a big job but we can help with some basic support — and commonsense solutions — to make their big responsibilities a little bit easier. AARP is fighting to support caregivers with more support, help at home, workplace flexibility, training, relief and much more. Working with governors, state legislators, other policymakers and community partners, we’re advancing policy options that will help family caregivers — and the loved ones for whom they care. Explore the map below to see what’s happening in your state.
