Video - A Transportation "Pop-Up" Tool Kit is Used to Create a Bike Lane AARP Community Challenge
GRANTEE: To show the benefits of bike lanes, crosswalks, speed cushions and other traffic and mobility solutions, the City of Houston created a transportation-themed demonstration tool kit that it used to install a pop-up bike lane in the Gulfton neighborhood. The temporary lane inspired a permanent redesign of a major roadway in the area. The funds "quick-action" projects that build momentum for local change to improve livability for people of all ages.
