Kool-Aid Tang Other Powdered Drinks Recalled May Contain Metal or Glass

Products sold nationwide at retailers including Walmart Sam s Club Target Publix

Products were sold at a number of retailers nationwide including Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target and Publix. The problem was discovered during an internal review at a manufacturing facility. Kraft Heinz said that it is working with retailers and distributors to remove the affected products from circulation. Reports of any injuries or deaths related to the recalled products were not indicated in the company announcement. In early November, a variety of Tastykake cupcake and “krimpet” products were by Flowers Foods Inc. over concerns that they may contain tiny fragments of metal mesh wire. Not all sizes and varieties of Kool-Aid, Country Time Lemonade, Tang, Arizona Tea and other Kraft Heinz powdered drinks were included in the recall. Consumers who purchased any of the affected products should throw them out or return them to the place of purchase.
