About the Presenter

is the author of Urban Planning for Dummies, a leading advocate for community involvement in urban planning, and an enthusiast of all things local. He is a faculty member in the Department of Community and Regional Planning at Alabama A&M University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Yin received his master's and doctoral degrees in city and regional planning from Cornell University. Livable communities don’t just happen. This webinar series unpacks how communities make and use local plans to guide future change and development in ways that promote communities that are livable for people of all ages.
