GRANTEE: There has been strong community support for developing more recreational space along the Merrimack River. AARP funding helped furnish Arms Park with tables, chairs, umbrellas, planters and community message boards to create a gathering and event space at the park, the city’s primary access point to the river. The funds "quick-action" projects that build momentum for local change to improve livability for people of all ages.
